Mike Egan Your Manchester, NH Insider

My name is Mike Egan, and I am thrilled to be your Manchester, NH insider for Food & Beverage Underground. I can’t call myself a NH native, but I grew up in Nashua and the Lakes Region, and have called Manchester my home for the last 15 years. My first year and a half of life I lived in Ohio, thus the non native status, but aside from those early years, I’ve been here my whole life.

In my previous job working for a manufacturer in NH, I traveled all over the US, for weeks at a time and was able to discover my love for dining out, and especially for finding the great local cuisine in each area of the country I was traveling in. I’ve been to 43 out of our 50 states, and am happy to be back on a more permanent basis in NH.

I am currently working for a point-of-sale company here in NH, and as such I spend a great deal of my time working with restaurant professionals talking about what’s working for them and what isn’t working. We talk as well about what’s happening in their areas of NH, operations, menus, marketing, upcoming events, and technology for the restaurant business. I work hard at staying informed about our business and look forward to keeping you all up to speed as well.

I am a member of the NH Lodging and Restaurant Association, and participate in committees for education and our annual Expo / Stars of the Industry Awards. Additionally I run a networking group for food and beverage professionals who work within NH, and get a great deal of satisfaction from matching up good folks with good opportunities whether its for a job, a good deal from a vendor, or that piece of equipment you need but just can’t find at a good price.
