While we focused predominantly on Charleston restaurants within the peninsula area (because it's where tourists and out-of-towners head first) we have thrown in a couple outlying eateries as they especially deserve to be on your cant miss list. Our top ten Charleston restaurants are listed here in alphabetical order. There was really no need to separate the best from the best! Enjoy any of these great restaurants and your Charleston dining experience will certainly be memborable. Top Ten Charleston RestaurantsCirca 1886 - The wine list boasts close to 280 bottles. The contemporary cuisine, which is influenced by Charleston's rich history, always offers unique and intriguing offerings as the menu changes seasonally keeping up with the freshest products available. If you are looking for an intimate evening that won't soon be forgotten then let Chef Marc Collins introduce you to Circa 1886. Cypress - Chef Craig Deihl creates a beautiful eclectic American style menu that has hints of French and Asian tones. The ambiance is outstanding and the three-story wine wall is a must see. Make sure to try the oysters and the wasabi tuna, there excellent! Cypress is also associated with Blossoms and Magnilias which are just down the street well worth visits as well.
