Undercover --- June Restaurant, Peoria Heights, Illinois

by Chef Bill More
(Peoria, IL )

We hear reliable information that there is a new restaurant getting ready to open in Peoria Heights and it is called June.

The chef, Josh Adams, was trained in some of the finest restaurants in Chicago, and plans to bring that city-of-big-shoulders atmosphere to the river city.

There is also word that he has hired a manager and trainer that is intimately familiar with the Chicago style of very high-end restaurants and is going to make each and every effort to replicate the look, feel, ambiance and atmosphere right here in the Peoria area.

We hear that the menu is eclectic, unique, and will be a most welcome addition to the existing Peoria scene. Owner/Chef Josh Adams has been hard at work testing and developing some signature dishes for June, and his intent is to use only the very freshest ingredients, locally grown and organic if at all possible He has been searching locally for some top-notch providers and his menu will reflect that effort. Locally grown ingredients paired with locally developed recipes should mean a dining experience that Peoria has not seen in quite some time.

Be on the lookout for his upcoming opening date.
I am convinced that you will NOT be disappointed once this show is
on the road!

June will be at the Heritage Square area of Peoria Heights on Prospect Road.

June Restaurant is a Hit
by: Anonymous

I was fortunate to be invited to an opening party for a fine restaurant in Peoria Heights called June. Like it's name, the arugula salad brought a fresh, summery taste to the palate. Then there was the trout that melted in my mouth. An apple tart with a scrumptious pastry shell and exotic accompaniment sealed the deal for me at June.
The restaurant decor is as soothing as nature. Raphael, our professional and friendly waiter made sure all our needs were met. Don't wait until summer to experience June.
